Fiberglass Repair & Restoration

The modern fiberglass hull is lightweight and strong — but accidents do happen. That broken mast step, the hole in your hull, the stress cracks, chips, and scratches from wear and tear — we can repair all of them to look like new.

We work on all boats, from Optis, 420's, and Lasers to J22's, Hinckleys, and Tartan 37's.

Boat damaged in a regatta? Call us about fast repairs designed to get you back out on the water as quickly as possible.

Classic Brightwork Refinishing & Restoration

Nothing can match the look and feel of finely finished brightwork. We will restore your boat's brightwork to its elegant best. We'll also set up a maintenance plan that will keep your boat looking "factory fresh" for years.

Teak and mahogany need more than a touch of varnish in the spring. The preparation of the wood — sanding, cleaning, and catching the cracking and bare spots that can lead to serious damage — is more important than the actual brushing-on of finishes.

Whether your preference is classic varnish, urethane, Cetol, or a two-part clear finish, we have the expertise and the patience to refinish your brightwork with the care of the old-time craftsperson.

Speaking of old-time — is your boat a classic? It is our great pleasure to work on classics, from the Sam Crocker design Sallee Rover, to Mackenzie picnic boats, to Wianno seniors. We even restore antique "woody" automobiles! Let us take a look at your classic — she'll gleam like new when we're done.

Seasonal Maintenance Program

In New England, our boating season is so short that we treasure every moment. In fact, we put so much focus on the months we can be out on the water that, sometimes, we ignore what happens to our boats the other nine months of the year!

Here's the truth: any boat shop has more time in the fall than in the spring! If you want to be sure you won't miss a single day of spring on the water, plan to have your boat cared for when it comes out of the water in the fall, not in the early spring, when so many other boat owners are also suddenly anxious to get their boats ready for Memorial Day weekend!

We will evaluate your boat when she first comes to us and provide a long-range plan for maintaining her in top condition for many years to come. Perhaps your boat needs extensive attention right away — or perhaps some maintenance or repairs can wait until the end of the season, or even next year.

Our goal is to restore the basic integrity of your hull, the brightwork, and even the interior of your boat. We'll give you a step-by-step evaluation of the boat with recommendations for a schedule of restoration and maintenance that won't break the bank — but will give you the prettiest, soundest boat on the water year after year.

Small Boat Repair

We specialize in one-design small boats: Opti, 420, Laser, Sunfish, and the like. Our goal is to make your boat look brand-new again, whether the damage is a broken corner, Gel-kote dings, or a demolished mast step. If you are damaged during a regatta, we'll treat it like an emergency and do our best to get you back out on the water quickly.
